Alexis Orestis Bountros was born in Sydney Australia and moved to Greece at the age of 7, following his parents repatriation. His love for music began at the early age of 4, when he started playing the piano. At 7 he started to learn how to play the guitar by himself and he soon discovered that the guitar was to become his greatest love and ultimate creative, expressive vehicle - both musically and artistically.
As a teenager he played a leading role in different groups, while attending the British School in Greece, St. Lawrence College. In 2009 he graduated from the American College of Greece with a Degree in Music under professors Dimitris Toufexis, Leslie Jones and Christine Tokatlian and was awarded the Special Award for Artistic Achievement. As President of the College’s Music Society, he organised several concerts and performances, most notably that of the theatrical music concert “Atmosphere” which he directed himself. During the same year, playing Manos Hadjidakis, he performed at the College in honour of the President of Greece.
Over the following years he has worked as a professional session musician and collaborated with a wide range of artists both home bound and internationally such as: Memorabilia (Alternative / ArtRock), Gotcha Covered (RockCovers), Panos Gourgiotis, Komis X, Remi, Giannis Zaragalis, Labri Giotto, Leon of Athens, Mamacita On Fire, Penelope Anastasopoulou, Sakis Rouvas, Fu Madrow, Notis Sfakianakis, Dope MC, Giorgina Karahaliou, Sykes, Heat, C:Real, Maria Elena Kyriakou, Alex Economou, Marina Satti and Eva Tsachra. He has also performed in major festivals, radio shows and television shows, with a notable participation in “The Soundtrack of Love” band in Cyprus, a Warner Brothers production that aired on Alpha Tv Cyprus for a number of episodes in 2019.
As a guitar instructor, he has taught students of all ages while also actively working as a composer, having written and produced original compositions for artists and commercial videos (ads, promo-videos, jingles).
In 2017 he successfully completed his Guitar Degree with Honours (RGT University of West London, London College of Music).
Between 2017 - 2021 he successfully taught Electric and Acoustic Guitar at Philippos Nakas Conservatory. Today he continues teaching both at the National Music Conservatory in Nea Smirni, while also continuing private lessons in person or online (Via Skype, Zoom, Google Hangouts) with the use of his interactive home studio.
He is also in the studio working on new songs for well-known singers and artists, while also continuing live shows with Marina Satti & Eva Tsachra.
